It's September once again and in a few days, all roads will lead to Pilgrim City of Naga as the city (and the entire Bicol Region as well as the whole country) celebrates the 303rd year of devotion to Our Lady of Peñafrancia. As a Nagueño and a devotee of Ina, I don't have any other words to say but VIVA LA VIRGEN and VIVA EL DIVINO ROSTRO! :))

Aquino Facts and My Perspective

my curiosity was aroused when i saw a link of a youtube video which was entitled, Aquino Coquangco, facts they don't want you to know. actually, hindi ko ikakaila na i would have voted for noynoy during the 2010 presidential elections if indeed i was allowed to vote because of my belief that he is the most viable lesser evil among the presidential aspirants. ang ibig kong sabihin ng viable ay ang mas may malaking posibilidad na manalo and lesser evil because he and his family is known to have a clean record and a hard stand against corruption. plus, the need of the times dictates that the country needs a president who can inspire the Filipino people to be united, to rally behind their government and most of all, a president who can make the Filipino people trust their government once again after almost 9 years of an administration tainted with graft, corruption and negligence. yun yung kailangan natin sa aking palagay. come to think of it, i could have endorsed Gibo or Gordon to my parents but i just think that more than Gibo's vision of a great Philippines, the Filipino people need a president who can unify the them.


if i will be asked if PNoy unified the Filipino so far, i don't really know what to answer. frankly speaking, i'm having second thoughts now if my decision to campaign noynoy to my parents and friends is correct because of the different issues that faced his barely one year and four months old administration. basta ang alam ko, and based from my observation alone, there's an atmosphere that people are now slowly giving their trust to their government. feeling ko nga, totoo na he's laidback, totoo na he lacks motivation to do what a president should do, totoo na kulang ang performance niya, buti na lang, he picked competent people to run his government (mostly but not all) like DOJ Secretary De Lima, DOE Secretary Almendras, DOF Secretary Purisima, DSWD Secretary Soliman, DFA Secretary Del Rosario and DILG Secretary Robredo to name a few. (parang si DBM Secretary Abad lang naman ang ayaw ko because of the comments he made regarding the budget cuts made in the SUCs which according to him, more funds doesn't mean high quality. ayos lang siya? funds in SUCs would mean more supplies for the professors, more improvement in infrastructure, more upgrades and laboratories and so on? now, is quality and availability of funds not connected? perhaps, i should make a separate blogpost on this).


Going back, dun lang ata siya nakakabawi. if those people will be out, PNoy will be having some hard time of having an image that his government is working very hard for the Filipino people. moving on, i find the video very much biased against the Aquino's. for one, i personally think that we cannot blame the Aquino's with regards to the decisions of Ysidra and is there any concrete evidence with regards to the lost of the treasures of the First Philippine Republic and the rise of Ysidra Coquangco as one of the richest person in the Philippines during the 1900's? Can we blame Cory alone for the flaws of the 1987 Constitution when there are in fact 48 people who framed the constitution and what Cory did was to appoint them and perhaps campaign for the ratification of the consitution? Is it correct and valid to directly drag the name of the Aquino family with the killing of the people who supported the battle of hacienda luisita farmers when in fact, the Aquino family only owns 1% of the Hacienda Luisita property because it is owned by a corporation? Same with the SCTEX, i think the money didn't go to the Aquino's, the money went to the Coquangco-owned corporation which owns the hacienda luisita property. But on the other hand, kung may pinaniniwalaan man ako sa video, that's the part where Cory did nothing or perhaps did not exert much effort in giving the piece of land that the Hacienda Luisita farmers deserve which kahit hanggang ngayon ay hindi pa rin naman inaaksyunan ni PNoy. PNoy have more or less five years to do what her mother failed to do with Luisita but the sooner he address it, the better.


if i had used my emotions while watching the video, perhaps i am now starting to hate the Aquino's because it is what the video implies - that we should hate the Aquino's and the yellow 'propaganda' because it done nothing good to our country. but here's what i think, personally, i'm pro-noynoy but i can say that i'm pro-government. by that i mean, what the Philippines need at this moment is to support their government regardless of the sitting president. but support shall also be coupled with critiquing as the need arises. Filipino people should be open-minded and critical because what the government does definitely affects them. we can never see a GREAT COUNTRY when what we are doing is just criticizing, criticizing and criticizing. try supporting  and doing our own little part and the moment we stood as one in support of our government, that's the moment we can climb up the ladder of progress.

legazpi boulevard

Say hello to the new Legazpi Boulevard which is envisioned to become the Roxas Boulevard of Legazpi City in Albay. I do not own the picture above but that's how it looks like by day. Mas maganda kung yung night version. anyway, i only visited it twice and such a perfect place for relaxation and walk therapy. Yung una purong lakad-lakad lang but then the second time was for night life which is starting to be established in the area. ayos! saya! :)

Pilipinas, Tara Na!

The Department of Tourism just launched it's domestic tourism campaign with the slogan, Pilipinas, Tara Na! just this week coupled with reviving of the Byahe Tayo song in three versions though only one version was released. Anyway, from what i had seen in the internet there are some criticisms as to the new campaign with some even thinking that this is the replacement of the embattled, Pilipinas Kay Ganda. Ang hirap talaga sa karamihan ng mga Pilipino, ang bilis magbigay ng reaksyon ng hindi muna inaalam ang mga bagay-bagay. However, i personally believed that the logo is not that visually appealing. there's no something that can really encourage me to travel and roam around the 7,107 islands of the country. siguro, kelangan pa ng improvement pero ang sabi nga ng DOT, everyone is encouraged and is free to make their own interpretation of the Pilipinas, Tara Na! campaign logo. pero hopefully, the department can improve it within the following months or days. mas magaling at mas maganda ata ang pwedeng magawa ng Pilipino na logo. pero of course, criticisms can never be erased dahil sabi nga, we can never pleased everybody. At ako bilang isang Pilipino ay susuporta sa campaign na ito dahil i personally believe that there is so much that the Philippines can offer. ngapala, inaabangan ko na din ang international/foreign tourism campaign ng DOT. hopefully, something appealing.

The "Pilipinas, Tara Na!" Logo

The Pilipinas, Tara Na! campaign is a domestic tourism campaign targeted towards Filipinos, an effort to encourage local residents to visit the many attractions in-country. Given that a very broad audience is being targeted, the creative team zoned in on what is most important to many: family. As such, the creative team feels that it is best to illustrate the joys of traveling through the perspective of family, especially what appeals to children – perhaps the most important and influential members of the smallest to the biggest of clans.

While details of the other campaign components are still under wraps until the launch later this summer, the major elements of it flow from this rationale of appealing to the family-loving Filipino in general. This includes the centerpiece: a remake of the very successful and catchy “Biyahe Tayo!” song featuring some of the biggest Filipino artists, which has been made into many various versions by Filipinos across the country, even the world.

One necessary component of the campaign is the logo. In keeping with the campaign title, Pilipinas, Tara Na!, the logo invokes a call to action, an invitation for each Filipino to visit the country’s own beautiful destinations using different modes of transportation.

The Pilipinas, Tara Na! logo is rendered in comics style to appeal to a broader audience regardless of age, gender and socio-economic status, evoking light-heartedness, a spirit of fun and a sense of pride in our country.

Original Filipino cartoons or komiks proved to be an entertaining medium through which the Filipino way of life was told. When the first Filipino comics, Kenkoy¸ was published, it became very popular that it was translated to other regional languages and was used in different media. More komiks were soon created, depicting the lives and culture of Filipinos and injecting humor on different issues. Similarly, the old-school vibe of the Pilipinas, Tara Na! logo is meant to stir nostalgia among older generations. As children, many of us have fond memories of local vacation trips with our families, trips that now seem to be outshone by the opportunities to travel abroad, or that are exchanged for getting the latest gadget. The destinations that were most visited before still exist now and the aim is to create the emotional pull that would get parents to want to visit them again for the younger generation to enjoy as they did.

The plane, jeepney and ship signify the country’s most utilized modes of transportation, providing an obvious connection to travel as well as the call to action. The colors depict a sense of nationalism as its shades are inspired by the Philippine Flag. The vibrant sun extends this patriotic theme and portrays hope for brighter local tourism prospects.

During the conceptualization of the campaign logo, the creative team conducted a focus group discussion where several studies were presented. While different interpretations ranging from the very basic text-only designs to more contemporary styles appealed to certain groups, it was found that this more basic, simple and fun rendering of the logo appealed to the greater audience.

nakatakda ngayon ang pag-alis ni mama papuntang bohol. of course, daan muna siyang manila via air then manila-cebu then cebu-bohol via fast craft (ata). good thing, may pasalubong. bad thing, hindi ako kasama! tsktsk. sayang ng opportunity. hmm. well, it was kind of a reunion for mama and her high school friends and parang excited na din ako na magkaroon ng ganoon with my high school or even college friends in the future. haha. hm. nasabay sa birthday ni tatan ang pag-alis ni mama kaya walang handa. tsktsk. kawawa naman. first time atang mangyari ito sa kanya pero sabagay ayos lang yun ng mafeel naman niya ang naffeel ko. haha. pero siyempre meron pa rin naman yung handa or kain sa labas. just wait tatan!

hm. dahil maaga ang alis ni mama at kami ay gumigising ng tanghali na ginawan ko din siya ng ingat greeting at pinost ko sa tabi ng kay dante. haha. hmm. self-explanatory na ang message kaya yun. ingat na lang ma sa panghuhuli ng tarsier. :D

The World Is Just Awesome (Boom De Yada) - Filipino Sytle

i'm a Discovery Channel fanatic and the World is Just Awesome Boom De Yada Station ID of theirs captured me and i personally think that it's great and very beautiful. i found this Boom De Yada Filipino Style while browsing in tumblr. according to the post, this will be probably aired this year.

a piece of OUR reality

it is very seldom that i watched a noontime show when i arrived here in naga due to wide array of choices over the different channels (both international and national) to watch. but one noontime, papa watched Eat Bulaga! (the longest running noontime show in the Philippine TV) and during that day, it was Ryan Agoncillo's birthday. of course, it is quite a custom to TV shows especially variety shows to give the birthdayperson a kind-of-blowout and greeting. Ryan's birthday celebration was highlighted when he gave the earnings of his brother-in-law to mang rogelio, an impoverished jeepney driver which he knew from BBC's Toughest Place to be a Bus Driver. So as a curious audience, i searched and actually watch the BBC's TOUGHEST PLACE TO BE A BUS DRIVER which i can say is a real piece of OUR very own reality in the eyes of a foreigner.

The close to an hour documentary revolved around the story of Josh West, a British Bus Driver from London who drives a state of the art double decker bus and the challenge imposed upon him to actually drive and have a taste of how it is to be a bus/jeepney driver in the Philippines specifically in Manila which according to the narration is being referred as the most densely populated city in the world. Of course, as a first timer, Josh found it hard to navigate the streets of Manila and much more to drive using the jeepney which he even described as "a vehicle which he thinks as not roadworthy." But eventually, he made it with the aid of attending to a driving class and with the help of Mang Rogelio.

Well, i decided to post some sort-of-a-review for the documentary not just because a Filipino and the Philippines is being featured but because on the important pieces of our reality it captured while Josh's story is going on. the first of our piece of reality is that many filipinos are still trap under the spells of poverty, that no matter how hard they tried to work and work and work even harder, when the sun rises anew, they are still in the same situation they are in. it's as if a trap wherein poor filipinos no matter how hard they strive will still end up being poor just like Mang Rogelio's situation which happens to be the very sentiment of Mang Rogelio. that everyday, many filipinos do job that at the end of the day will hopefully suffice their needs for that day alone. another thing is that even the Reproductive Health Bill or popularly the RH Bill was featured. well, personally the situation of Mang Rogelio's neighbor (which unfortunately i forgot the name) made my personal stand firmer that there is a need for the passage of RH Bill not because it gives everyone an artificial contraceptives but it gives the couple a chance to choose on what they think is better for their family.

Hmm. so much for the RH Bill. what was truly saddening i

s the part where "pagpag" - a kind of food in tondo wherein it's ingredients are collected, washed and recooked remains or remnants of foods from a fastfood chain is being served. it is shocking and saddening but we cannot blame the people of tondo in making and patronizing pagpag. it is their situation that made them do that. come to think of it, if they have better access to foods or let's say opportunities for employment, they will not do that. Josh even cried upon hearing the story and the sentiments of the pagpag maker (photo below). it is saddening because it once again caught a piece of our reality through a foreigner.

perhaps the reality that the documentary gave Ryan and inspired Ryan's decision to help Mang Rogelio even for the short-term. the realness of the story and the documentary itself is so good because even though foreigners made or produced it, there is no exaggeration but it tells the story on how the people say it. Nonetheless, the documentary made me proud that i am a Filipino. that no matter what obstacles or hurdles we face in life, we fight and we try our best to become better. Furthermore, just like josh for sure, the story of Mang Rogelio humbles me and made me appreciate our and my status now and it inspired to do more once i started working because there are jobs that are worse than mine.

Lastly, Josh was successful with his challenge though there was a part where he was lost along the route and had a hard time with driving and counting change. I hope that Josh's adventure in the Philippines would become an eyeopener to the British people as to how lucky they are that they are developed and perhaps could share some not only to the poor Filipinos but to the poor people all over the world

during the holy week, the television was packed with different shows which are mostly replayed. it just happened that i became interested with GMA NewsTV's Pitong Paglalakbay which i thought was made some three to four years ago. well, because of that i just added BATANES, the northermost islands of the Philippines to the Places that i want to visit. it's quite preserved bahay na bato and very simple style of life plus the fresh winds blowing from the South China Sea and the Pacific Ocean and the Ivatans and their unique Ivatan Hats being used to protect themselves against the sun and rain and their lush mountainsides along with their preserved lighthouses. wohooo! i think Batanes is just the perfect destination if you want to reflect.

NAGA-gayon lalo

naga city, under the leadership of mayor john bongat and other city officials, is taking the good road ahead in terms of investments in making naga a more beautiful tourism hub and a city that gives importance to its glorious history as one of the golden seven cities of the sun (a name given by the great writer nick joaquin to the original seven settlements that the spaniards established upon their arrival in the philippines.

what i am referring here are the two plans of the city government to invest in the physical development of naga. maybe some would see it shallow but for me, investing in physical development of naga would help in promoting naga as an investment hub in the southern luzon area. kapag maayos, maganda at malinis, more investors and visitors will like naga. however, physical development should not be the only priority of the city administration (this is another issue)

first is the plan of the city government to revitalize the naga river which is of historical and cultural significance to the city. the salog kan buhay program of the city. the plan to relocate the informal settlers near the river and make walkways and parks along the river and of course, to clean the river and make it cleaner.

second is the plan of the city government to construct the monumento de naga which will become the fuente osmeña circle/el angel column(mexico)/july column(paris)/berlin victory column of naga city. the said monumento will be constructed at the magsaysay-roxas-panganiban-national highway intersection near the immaculate conception church. the said monumento will honor naga city's status as a pilgrimage capital. actually, just like the salog kan buhay project, this project is just on the drawing board. the city government is inviting architecture/engineering students or professionals and even ordinary people with ordinary lives to participate and they will receive a prize in exchange if their design will be chosen.

well, i commend the city government for their wonderful plans but i will commend them more if they will implement their proposed projects and walk their talk. :p

overheard and confirmed

it's been long since I've heard my friends that a new design of the Philippine bills will be released with the mayon volcano and the butanding as one of the latest addition to the bills. at first i was shocked and surprised but i'm excited to see it and used it. i actually searched it on the different news website like abs-cbnnew, gmanews, inquirer and mb and i actually read it and it was confirmed.

now, from what i've heard and read from the news, the new re-designed bills are now on the circulation and some are even criticizing the minor mistakes. nonetheless, i'm excited to have a piece of the new generation philippine bills.

ps. i cannot understand why some people criticizes or questions the president when in fact from what i have learned, the plan of changing the design of our bills was crafted even before pnoy was elected president. i think it was bsp's initiative. that's all. :D

yeah!

i can feel the festive mood in Naga City now. tomorrow is the grand celebration of the tercentenary of the devotion to our lady of peñafrancia - patroness of bicolandia and i'm very excited about that. hmm. just like what i have mentioned in my fb status, the show of the devotion of the bicolanos to our lady never failed to give me goosebumps. the sabay-sabay na pagwagagway ng puting panyo to the shouting of viva in chorus are among things that makes the peñafrancia experience unique as if it makes the sea of people one no matter what color he is or from what province or town he came from. it is an experience like no other. this tercentenary celebration is a must attend celebration for this is history. i am pretty sure that i will not be around anymore after a century where the bicolanos would celebrate Ina's 400 years. nonetheless, this tercentenary celebration is a testament of Bicolanos strong faith in God and a way of thanking the Lord for his blessings. This devotion is a gift we received and is a gift we must share.

a new beginning...

long before the National Board of Canvassers convened, its almost certain the Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino is the front runner for the presidential race. but unlike the presidential race, the vice-presidential race is like a puzzle because of the neck-to-neck fight by Sen. Mar Roxas and Mayor Jejomar Binay. now, after almost a month after the elections, the smoke cleared and its clear that we will have Noynoy Aquino as our President-elect with 14,641,803 votes received from the Filipinos and Jejomar Binay as our Vice-President Elect with 14,501,371 votes received. Both of them will be proclaimed probably Wednesday according to the news.

Personally, i favored noynoy though i didn't have the right to vote on the belief that what the Philippines currently needs is a person whom the Filipino people can trust. i believe that ones the trust is bestowed to the government then we can start our travel in the road map to progress. for vp, i am for mar because i believe in the competence of mr. palengke but since he is not that privileged to be elected and since most of the Filipinos favored Mayor Binay, i think it is rightful for me to put my trust to the duly-elected vp instead of calling him to resign or make some fb page calling for his ouster even though he is not yet starting to perform his tasks as vp. and i think it is rightful for us Filipinos to trust our next leaders and to help them in every little way we can. i am not hoping that noynoy and binay can transform the Philippines in just a blink of an eye. but i am hoping that they can bring the change the the Philippines need slowly and surely.

my congratulations to the next president and vice-president. Mabuhay ang Pilipinas! :D

hmm. well, as i was browsing facebook, a fanpage calling for the ouster of the presidential front-runner Benigno Simeon "Noynoy" Cojuangco III struck my attention and suddenly, a question was formed in my mind.


ANO BA TAYONG MGA FILIPINO??? GANITO NA LANG BA TAYO???


hmm. alam natin na hindi lahat ng tao gusto ang isang kandidato. in an election, there are different parties with different candidates. sympre, we as the electorate have the rights to choose whoever we want to be elected. i think that's the gift of democracy, we can choose who we wanted as our leader. however, on the other side, sympre may mananalo, may matatalo. maaring ang kandidatong binoto mo eh sya ang mananalo o maaari rin namang matatalo sya ng kandidatong ayaw na ayaw mo.

but then, why will some group of people can't respect the voice of the plurality of the Filipinos? ang malala pa, some are calling for his ouster kahit hindi pa nga napproclaimed ng national board of canvassers. come on, we're better than this Filipinos. why not give the guy who garnered the most number of votes of the Filipinos a chance? stop this madness first and lets see what this guy has to offer.

while we are asleep.. an unexpected series of events unfolded.. events that marked the end for the former president corazon aquino and for the icon and mother of Philippine Democracy.. hmm.. oo! at marahil tama lamang na sbhin na wala pa aqng kamalay-malay sa mga nangyari sa panahon nya.. but then, come to think of it kung anu man yung mga bagay na yun eh sure aqng yun ang mga bagay na ineenjoy natin ngaun.. come to think of it, while we the present generation is using the L sign as a sign for losers, president aquino used that very same sign as a symbol of change. and that change in particular is the freedom that we have today..

and for that, thank you very much, mrs. president.
truly, an idol to look at for our generation and the next generations to come.

tomorrow, (june 13) ate di and i be leaving Naga to pursue our college study in Bicol University: the Premier State University in the Bicol Region. i'll be going to the states. yeah! LA pare! Legazpi, Albay. hmm. gonna meet new people with different personality , learn/adjust to a much more difficult bikol languange if i may say, have new friends, gain more experiences have new jobs and most of all, i will go out of my comfort zone and learn much more life can offer. hmm. mgsstart na ang panibagong yugto sa buhay ko and so help me bro! sya nga pala, i guess mdyo malayo-layo ang gap ng bawat post q lalo na kpag may pasok na considering na walang wifi connection ang aming boarding house and hndi q pa naeexplore ang aming campus. haha. lesser opportunity for YM pro atleas meron. pra hndi pa nman sure. haha.

today is the 10th of June, just two days away from the celebration of the 111th Philippine Independence Day so i just decided to have a post on the current situation our country was in. after all, hndi nman siguro masama na magsalita ng tungkol sa Pilipinas. hmm. most of us, if not all, knows that today a GRAND RALLY against the passage of House Bill No. 1109 or the convening of Congress as Constituent Assembly or CON-ASS that will gave way to Charter Change. meaning, ammendments will be done to the present 1987 Constitution.

well, to tell everyone honestly. hndi pa nman ganun kadami at kalayo ang kaalaman ko tungkol sa Charter Change pro atleast may alam naman aq. from what i have know, a Charter Change can just happen through three different modes, namely, People's Initiative, Constitutional Convention and Constituent Assembly.

going back to HB 1109, the 3/4 of our honorable congressmen have voted in favor of it doing it themselves without the participation of the upper chamber because arguments from some of the congressmen states that the voting should be done with the upper and lower chamber together thus outnumbering the senators that we know are against ChaCha before 2010 national polls. as what the CBCP President have said in his blog, it seems that the leadership of the land and of Congress seem to be so "desperate" that they would even change the Constitutional Rules of Congress in order to speedily pursue and accomodate the Constituent Assembly (CON-ASS). hmm. Speaker Prospero Nograles have cleared it that the Constituent Assembly will not be used to prolong the term of anyone, specifically president Gloria Arroyo but that has yet to be justified and proved.

pro majority of the Filipino are not sure if they will believe what the speaker have been saying especially that the speaker and the most distrusted president in the philippine history are alies. tiwala tlga. mahirap mabuo at lalung-lalo na mas mahirap buohin muli.

personally, i am not against Charter Change. but i think it will be better if the Charter Change can occur after the 2010 National Polls and through the Constitutional Convention. a process that is indeed good for the greatest number having the participation even from non-political people. to cut the story short, just NO! wag na muna. ska na lang.

today is the last day of the fifth month of the year twenty-ow-nine... tomorrow, is the first day of the sixth month and the first day of the classes for all the public schools in the country... but before dawn enters the scene, eh hndi q papalampasin na mgbigay ng aking HULING HIRIT for the month.. come to think of it wala ng daraan na may 2009.

hmm. MAY have been a wonderful month thinking that i'm considering every month of my life as wonderful. hha. hmm. sympre ng-umpisa sya sa pagbubukas ng SM City Naga na nggng dahilan ng LSS q for the month na, here at SM, we got it all for you.. hha.. hmm.. pgktpos ng SM, lumaban din si pacman at nanalo laban kay hatton, lumabas ang ako mismo at nglipana na ang iba't-ibang grupo na ng-eengayo sa mga kabataan na mkilahok sa darating na 2010 presidential elections, nkapanood ng angels and demon at luckily ay ngetz q.. hmm.. sympre ngaun ding month aq nkpg-enroll at officially nggng college student.. at hndi lang yan, lumabas din ang hayden camera na ngdagdag ng gulo sa mundo... isa pa pla, nkonfirm ang tsismis about kay ate alex na ngcelebrate din ng kanyang not soo sweet seventeenth birthday, naaamaaan! haha.. marami pang iba na tila ba nkalimutan ko.. hha.. hmm.. soo much for this month..

MAY NKALIMUTAN AKO NA GUSTO KONG ALALAHANIN...

iba na tlga ang tumatanda.. mdyo nggng mkkalimutin na.. tsktsk.. ohno! msama ito! hmm.. mabuti pang matulog na at may pasok na bukas.. haha.. feeling high school pa rin aq.. hndi na pala aq high school student.. college na pala aq.. haha.. hmm.. mbuti pang bumisita sa aking minamahal na paaralan sa mga darating na araw na alam qng wala nman aqng magagawa sa bahay.. haha.. gayunpaman, siguro ttpusin q na ang post na ito na alam qng mdyo wala nman kwenta..

sya nga pala, belated hapee flag day philippines.. may 28 (as corrected by alex.. hhe..) po ang flag day ng pilipinas kung sakaling nkalimutan nyo o hndi nyo alam.. hha. at advance hapee KALAYAAN Pilipinas na nkatakda sa ika-labingdalawa ng hunyo.. nglipana na naman ngayon ang mga banner kagaya ng nasa baba na ngpapakita ng kanilang pagmamahal sa ating bayan.. ikaw? mahal mo rin ba ang Pilipinas?

at isa pang kaganapan sa darating na buwan ang chartered anniversary ng Naga City.. meaning wala silang pasok sa darating na june 18.. kkaingit! haha.. i love Naga! sana kayo rin!. hhe.

*ORAS NG PANAGINIP*

hmm.. just this week or last week i experience an absurd dream.. soo.soo.. hmm.. the dream story goes this way, hmm.. i was invited to the wedding of two of our batchmates.. it was ****** and ******, who were getting married.. (ayaw qng sabhin ang pngalan dhil maiinvolve aq later sa story.. haha..) soo yun.. ikakasal na nga sila.. everythng was owkie. the church was beautifully decorated with flowers and the motiff was white. owkie na ang lahat but then umatras sa kasal si guy.. ayun umiyak ng umiyak si girl.. then, di cympre to the rescue nman aq na prang si superman at bgla na lang aq ang nggng groom.. dba wierd? but then while waiting for the girl to reach the altar, i change my mind because i was thnking of a girl.. yah! a girl na nggng special part ng high school life q simula umpisa hnggang end.. pro zephy din sya.. soo yun, iniisip q na kung papakasalan ko daw yung bride panu ni si girl na iniisip q.. whoah! hha. wala man. nkwento q lang.. ibahun lang kya.. hehe..

it's the 7th day of May we're just on the mid-2nd quater of the year just few weeks away from the stepping and beginning the next chapter of our lives (zephy). good luck to all of us! anyways, i was reminded of the Pacquaio-Hatton fight wherein pacman knock-out the pride of manchester. but not the fight, nor the knock down of hatton urged me to write this entry for my blog.

i'm thinking that those who have watched the fight on GMA-7 was aware of the lenghty commercials between the rounds of the fight. and i say that one of the commercials caught my attention and it was this one:


many artists coming from the different worlds of showbizness particulary from ABS and GMA plus some people from private sectors and the academe have appeared in the commercial urging people to join their advocacy in promoting social change.

i can say that i was one of those people who have tried to access the site projected along the commercial, i registered and wrote my 'pledge' as part of the thing that i can do to create and be a part of the big social change for the glory of the Philippines. but upon seeing the entries of the site, in particular the 'WALL OF COMMITMENT' i was quite disappointed in the insincerity of some people that have accessed and created their own pledges. but that was ok!

though i can say that the site or the advocacy promotes and encourages Filipinos to do and be a part of 'CHANGE' that can affect the history of the Philippine Republic. i can say that the tagline or the title of the advocacy disagrees with the filipino spirit of BAYANIHAN wherein Filipinos help each others thus leaving no one behind and creating a greater wave of change, if i may say it. i guess, the advocacy would be better if it can also create and promote a spirit of unity and camaraderie among the Filipinos who have pledged to do their part and to encourage them to be part o a 'ONE PHILIPPINES' that someday will be facing the whole world as better people for a better world. maybe mas maganda ang "TAYO MISMO."

Let's help each other and also others and others of people to take part in creating not just a big wave but a GIGANTIC HUGE TIDAL WAVE of change for our country. pro mas maganda pa rin kung mag-uumpisa tayo sa ating sarili as Mahatma Gandhi have said, "be the change you want to see in the world" (am i right?). have your say!
