Dome of the Apostles

A visual treat for art lovers out there. Here's the half of the Dome of the Twelve Apostles (the first european inspired dome in the Bicol Region) located at the Immaculate Concepcion Parish, Concepcion Pequeña, Naga City. :)

SP Resolution No. 2013-167

One reason why I am proud that I am a Nagueño is because Naga is a haven of responsible and responsive leaders. The resolution passed by the Sangguniang Panlungsod is one of the testament that the City Council really serves as the voice of the Nagueños. Congratulations to all the councilors especially to Councilor Gabby Bordado! #Save651! :)))

#DaBestPasko

I believe that this is one of the things that ABS-CBN is consistently very good at - Christmas Station ID. Throughout the years, ABS presents new concept and theme of Filipino Christmas. for sure, the Da Best ang Pasko ng Pilipino song will be a hit comes the Christmas Party or Christmas Celebrations in the country. WELL DONE ABS-CBN!

ps. but i still believe that their most successful station ID is the Star ng Pasko way back 2009 because of ramdam na ramdam yun ng mga tao and my personal favorite, Tuloy na Tuloy pa rin ang Pasko some years before. haha. :)

realization 2

because of a 10 minute call last night,

GUMAAN ANG PAKIRAMDAM KO. YUNG TIPONG PARANG MAAYOS NA ANG LAHAT SA KABILA NG MGA NANGYARI. I THINK, IT'S A GOOD AND VERY CONCRETE JUSTIFICATION THAT I'VE MOVED ON ALREADY. ACTUALLY, MALAYONG-MALAYONG-MALAYO NA TALAGA ANG NALAKBAY KO. HAHA. WALA LANG. NAKAKATUWA LANG.
>.<

RSR and Gov. JOEY

it's october 26 and it's Raul S. Roco Day in Naga City if i am not mistaken. well, since my childhood, Raul S. Roco was my idol in public service and in politics. his ideals, his principles and his personality made me believe that he is the best president the Philippines never had. he died early because of prostate cancer a year after the 2004 Philippine presidential elections.

Also, this day is the birthday of the good and humble governor of the province of Albay. every passing day, he proves that he deserves to be an idol of many. his vision for Albay is very wonderful (Albay Rising like California in the next 30 years) but what is more evident is the results of what he is doing. if and only if, he decides to run for a senate seat in the next election, i'll vote for him and even campaign for him. haha.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RSR and GOV. JOEY!

photographic dream

PHOTOGRAPHY
picture paints a thousand words

i always believe that picture paints a thousand words that's why i would want to become a photographer someday or let me just say it, i have with me my photographic dream. haha. so from photography 101 session we had after dinner at jollibee albay which i also blogged about, this time, we're out in the field to take pictures on different subjects and these are the pictures i taken. comment ko sa sarili ko, not bad for an amateur though i know that there's more to improve.  :)

fun. photos. lessons.

for the last couple of weeks, i'm having much lone times because everyone (my college friends) including me, seems busy with thesis and other requirements while ate dianne is in Naga because tapos na siya sa mga dapat niyang tapusin, sembreak na siya. that's why i would usually look for someone to accompany me for dinner. ang lungkot sa feeling ng mag-isang kumain. this time, kuya bjorn and mean joined me for dinner. actually, if i am right, kasama din dapat namin si ruksii and sime pero dahil umuwi na sila eh kami na lang ang naiwan. and since may camera si kuya bjorn, we started taking some shots and do whatever things we can like mean drawing the 'floorplan' of jollibee albay and pose in front of the camera with whatever we have in mind.

the simple fun evening of picture taking ended as a photography 101 session (someday, i'll be a professional photographer) with kuya bjorn teaching us what he knows with photography. ayos! the Dong-A My-Gel Pen shot above is the first shot i have wherein the focus is the focus emphasized by the blurred background. kung may pera lang ako, i would buy my SLR pero dahil wala pa ngayon, someday i will. :)

close kami ni gov

i personally saw governor Joey Salceda of Albay for a couple of times now. i saw him once in BU during the opening of the regional SCUAA and a couple of time during the pinakaMAGAYON festival that i witnessed. thinking that i am a Darageuño by real birth by Polangueño by roots and by 'legal' birth, Albayano by blood but Nagueño by heart, i didn't hesitate to add his genuine facebook account wherein he is almost always 24/7 online and would give out comments and posts different things on his wall and other's wall. well, i would like to admit that among the politicians that we have today, governor Salceda belongs to the one i admire because of his pro-environment stand, his leadership style and the way he lead albay. i can say that albay is progressing much and that's because of him. Polangui, as an example, is almost a city kulang na lang sa legality because hindi pa nito abot ang population requirement and the size requirement stated in Local Government Code if i am correct. so yun, i add governor joey during the heat of Magayon Festival and upon responding to my request, he posted this on my wall"

of course, as courtesy, i heed to his request in helping him thus i posted it also on my wall hoping that my friends would like it. well, i would like to believe that some of my friends liked the festival page and also added gov. salceda. just like rokksi. gov also did the same thing and ask rokksi to help him promote the festival page. well, i'm amazed with the statement of gov which goes like 'si gov joey sarte salceda tabi ini'. for me, it's a statement of humility. that's why i commented (which was not inlcuded in the printscreen). sabi ko, napakahumble naman ni gov.

to my surprise, governor salceda posted on my wall and poof... friends na kami! joke lang. hm. we had a little conversation and my admiration to governor salceda ay dumagdag because it's very seldom for a governor to get connected to his constituents. sabi nga ni melvz nung nagsayaw si gov ng rapapa with dianne necio, hindi mo lamang makita ang governor namin na mangganyan (btw, melvz is from the ISLAmic republic of Masbate). haha. my bestfriend was also amazed and said that i was bigaten because the good governor commented on my wall. well, sabi ko friends na kami. close friends. haha.

my point in posting this is that, the accessibility of governor joey salceda is highly commendable. i remember secretary jesse robredo whose cellphone number is open to public and would reply whenever you text him. well, i guess public officials should be accessible for their constituents. pero, close na kami ni gov. haha. :D

btw, this happened way back april pa. may katagalan na. haha. :D
